Hi---I recently installed the Vortex Rammer on my 98 C5 in place of
my Granatelli twin-flow intake-I am a tuner and have tuned over 1000
cars & trks using EFILIVE and have logged hours and hours of data---
I am pleased to say i had excellent results to prove how better it
works--
1st I forced the ECM into closed loop all the time so i could log
the fuel trims up to 4000 RPM's, to see if the engine was asking for
more fuel to compensate for the added airflow produced by the
Rammer---All my fuel trims prior to the Rammer install were at "0"
or slightly negative--I set the logger to read in MPH in the rows
and RPM in the colums and the data to record fuel trims--
At 38 MPH the data suddenly shows a + trim of 9.2 (bank 1) and a +
trim of 9.6 (bank 2) !!!! Clearly proves that the ECM is correcting
for leanesss to compensate for the added airflow produced by the
Rammer at speeds starting around 38 MPH !!!!!!!!!
Wouldn't have believed it if i didn't see it for myself--So after
re-enabling the PE table it also shows a leaner AFR at WOT which I
adjusted for---Can't wait to take it to the track to see the
improvements-- THanks for a great product----Tom
