Our first programming is done using a
piggyback computer with a very easy wiring install and she runs
great. To date we have put about 900 miles with our turbo system
with no problem.
Yes our kit still has a flex pipe to reduce the vibration. We are
also still going for only 4 to 5 psi to keep everything together but
have gone as high as 7 psi with no problems.
We can also offer the kit with our stealth version exhaust where you
have the center left along for your hitch.
We do have a splash shield protecting the filter yet still picking
up cool air from the backside. Moving the turbo and the filter
higher would increase the iat temps.
We decided to go with the piggy back for a few reasons. One we do
not have the calibration as yet to load in the computer and two in a
way its better to use the piggy back since you can just simply
remove the computer and turbo in 2 hours still go to the dealer
under warranty and have your computer upgraded any time.
Dyno day was today.
First we had a stock Smart with HP in 63 range then our other Smart
with our twin tip exhaust and powerflow air filter and made 71. Now
comes our proven turbo smart with a low boost level of under 5psi
and we pulled 91 RWHP
which is about 110 hp
Dyno video and chart will be on line by Monday
All our tuning went perfect all full throttle runs were between 11.5
to 11.9 On Stock Injectors!!
The stock ECU and our custom piggy back are a perfect match.
Install time is about 4 to 5 hours
Here are a couple pics and more will be coming. The pics shown are
from the prototype car and will have production pics in about 2
weeks. We wanted to test the system with at least 1000 miles before
going into production.
