Smart Car Bumper Mask
Installation Instructions:
Install your new Front Bumper Mask
I. Prepare the Car to accept the FRONT BUMPER MASK:
Step#1: Clean the bumper and surfaces under the car
and the fender wells with soap and water..
Step#2: Place three (3) 3M Dual Lock strips on each of
the fender liners and on the bottom cowling as shown in Figures #1 &
#2. Important note: Clean these
surfaces, and use the 3M 94 primer to ensure good adhesion of the 3M
strips
II. Install the FRONT BUMPER MASK
Step #1: Attach the Velcro end of the FBM to the
inside of the fender aligning the top end of the FBM with the
uppermost 3M strip. Continue to place the FBM inside the fender
attaching the edge of the FBM to the other two 3M strips.
Stretch the FBM across the front of the bumper allowing the bottom
edge of the FBM to go under the bumper. Note: do not attach the
top of the mask at this time. (the top has the four (4 plastic
retainer clips) Now attach the other end of the FBM to the
inside of the fender as before.
Step #2: Pull the bottom of the mask under the front
bumper and attach each of the three small pieces of Velcro matching
up with the 3M strips that you installed on the bottom of the car.
Step #3: Remove the hood and anchor the top of
the mask on the bumper inside the compartment with the four plastic
clips as shown in figure #3:
II. Removing the FRONT BUMPER MASK
The mask can be removed by releasing each of the two hood locks and
removing the top portion of the mask. Then remove the mask from the
inside of the fender wells. Note the hood locks can be
accessed with the mask in place using your thumbs to locate and
release the lock. See figure #4
Care of your bumper mask: The mask may be
cleaned using a mild detergent (no bleach). You may hand or machine
wash (use a laundry bag when machine washing). Use a concentrated
soap solution on areas of the mask that may be particularly dirty.
Allow the material to air dry. Always make sure the front of the
car is clean and free of sand and grit before installing the Bumper
Mask. For the best life do not leave the mask on the car for
extended periods.
