C6 Z06 Stage 1 Up to 540 HP

1. THE VORTEX RAMMER COLD AIR SYSTEM C6 Z06 VETTE

BREATHLESS PERFORMANCE PRODUCTS-  This vortex rammer kit  replaces the restrictive stock air box assembly.  Look closely at the filter and note that this is not the K&N filter that everyone sells.  This revolutionary air cleaner contains an internal vortex velocity stack.  It obtains cool, pressurized air from the radiator cavity through your modified shroud.  Air is forced through a sealed box, where in turn, it directly injects cold air into your intake.  (Lowering Manifold Air Temperature by almost 30 Degrees)

Remember, cold air means more power.  Our HP results have already shown up to 36HP and 38FT/LBS at the flywheel. Running at speed has give an additional up to 10 more Hp due to the air being forced in.. This is from the benefit of the pressurized air that is created at high speeds (which means there will be more h.p. at speeds over 35 MPH. 1/4 mile tests showed 3 MPH and .30 

C6 auto test one showed 26 flywheel HP

C6 stick test two showed 21 flywheel HP

BPP's powerduct is made out of a one piece unit not like our competitors 2 piece seamed units which have a tendency to crack along the seam.

The power duct replaces the stock air bridge between throttle body and MAF.   It increases the air flow to the motor by over thirty three percent.  

The kits are available in CLEAR, BLACK and CARBON FIBER.

(Clear finish provides a visual access to your Filter and Radiator for service inspection.)

2. Breathless Ported Throttle Body

Breathless Performance Products’  Ported & Flowed Throttle Body increases CFM flow to match your performance upgrades. Each unit is hand ported, Cleaned, then flowed to over 1000 CFM. A must once mods are done to your car. HP increase depending on mods range between 6-15 HP.

A core charge of $300 would be applied and would be refunded upon receipt of you stock unit.

BREATHLESS PERFORMANCE PRODUCTS-  Through Our Endless Effort and Continuous Testing of Other Brands of Headers We Came Up With Some Changes That We Felt Necessary.

This Custom Header Has a Step Design, which starts at 1.3/4 and gets larger to 1.7/8 to Produce Increased Velocity Which in Turn Produces Higher and flatter Torque Figures throughout the rpm range.   We also incorporated a velocity tip inside the collector to increase air speed.  

Collectors are 3'' Instead of 2.1/2

We Fully Jet Coat Our Headers Inside and Out.

Dyno results have shown between 19 to 36 HP gains.

There were several tests. One test with headers without Cats, then another without Cats and Corsa Indy exhaust on a 02

Next tests were done on Les's car, which is posted on Z06vette.com, which it was just the header.

We have been using them in our Pro Mod and Pro Street cars.

Tuning Straight vs. Stepped Headers Primary Pipes

Note. Pressure excursions in header primary pipe may be compared to simple harmonic motion of spring/weight system. Just as weight oscillates up and down with amplitude and frequency related to specific weight and spring constant, pressure waves transverse pipes in a similar fashion. Since wave velocity is a function of pipe I.D a change in diameter affects the amplitude and frequency of wave movement similar to change in spring/weight values. Since peak torque9volumetric efficiency) is associated with specific exhaust gas flow rates, the sizing of the primary pipe diameter affects the wave speed9engine RPM0 at which these critical or "mean Flow" velocities. Stated another way, the sizing of the primary pipe can be used as a tool to selectively influence where in the rpm range torque boosts are placed or influenced. Step headers are used to help increase the engine's effective torque range.

This is the reason we are the only header manufacture to develop HP and Torque in the low to mid range and keep it all the way up on a stock engine.

We will continue to show dyno results emphasizing the change in HP and Torque in all rpm ranges. We are the only manufacture to use the step design, Velocity tips inside the collector, 3'' collectors and a removable collector for easy service work of the clutch or engine.

4. CUSTOM COMPUTER PROGRAMMING

STATE-OF-THE-ART CUSTOM FLASH Programs using the most sophisticated computer and dyno equipment for providing optimum HP for your performance GM vehicle. Starting with GM’s multi-million dollar computer program, enhancements are made by accessing the vehicle's VIN numbers or computer broadcast code letters to obtain the exact programming that was designed for your vehicle. We use this original file and modify it to your specifications. There are no on the shelf chips, flash programming is custom per vehicle.

 

Variables to adjust include FAN TEMPERATURES, IDLE POINTS, AIR/FUEL RATIOS, IGNITION CURVES, KNOCK CONTROLS, TRANS SHIFT POINTS AND MORE. 
For customers out of state, the professional team of computer technicians, having years of racing experience, are on duty to assist with any questions concerning vehicle performance and can explain how to gather vehicle information necessary at full and part throttle to forward to Breathless Performance Products for producing a program that will provide the maximum HP attainable. 
Differences include Gear ratios, Emissions, High or Low altitude, Electronics and Delivery Points. GM differentiates these by broadcast codes.

Stock we were about 448 RWHP
Vortex ram Induction, BPP Step Headers and programming 504 RWHP
All the above plus Heads and Cam 557 RWHP

As for the work done I find it hard to believe that some of the other tuners are not taking the heads off to prep them. You generally find increased power in the upper RPM range if you go over the heads. Here’s what we do on the heads.

Opened the throats on both intake and exhaust.
Bowls and short turn about 100 thousands opened.
Full length on the exhaust runner opened.
New custom springs and retainers.
Flow went from 360 stock to about 397 on the intake.
Flow went from 224 stock to about 260 on the exhaust.
Flow numbers kept going up above the 600 lift mark vs. dropping on the stock head.



 head work done, Custom cam, Custom Springs, Custom Retainers, 


 If you do not do the heads like some of the other tuners power levels off and drops above 6200 rpm where in our case the power continued to rise to 7000 rpm.

Your Factory heads are required for all the work.
