The only supports now are rubber
holders in which as you lift the complete assembly will separate.
Take the airbox and place it on the table.
Take a screwdriver and loosen the
clamp that supports the air intake tube to the throttle body

Remove
the small 3/8 plastic tube that is inserted into the accordion air
tube and set aside. Remove accordion coupler and set aside. Take the
3/8 nipple out of the accordion coupler and set aside it will be
reused to be inserted in the BPP coupler.

Tip:
You can remove the screen from the MAF sensor for increased air
flow. Take a screwdriver and pry the screen out.

Take the template provided and
position it in the center of the shroud, the bottom two tabs fit in
the shrouds ridge. Use scotch tape to hold the template in place.
PIC 1 Trace around the template with a pencil or crayon. Take a
dremel or utility knife and cut the opening for the rammer. You
should also cut directly across the 2 tabs at the bottom. At this
point place the Vortex Rammer in the shroud and mark the supporting
holes for the rammer. Remove the rammer and use a 3/8 drill bit to
drill into the marked holes. TIP: Slot the hole up and down for ease
install. Take the U-Clips provided and position them into the
holes, nipple side down.

Take your Vortex Rammer and
connect it onto your Powerduct. Slide the filter all the way up the
Powerduct. Take your screws provided and screw Vortex box into the
U-Clips that you installed previously. Now mount BPP
transition coupler to the throttle body and MAF sensor. ( Keep the
clamps loose for now) You now can take the MAF and connect it
to the Powerduct. Once it is assembled you need to push down the
Powerduct and at the same time tighten all the clamps. Tip: the
harder you push down the more clearance you have between the box and
the hood.

Cut a small x into the coupler
that is between the throttle body and MAF to insert the plastic
nipple from original accordion coupler. This puts your breather tube
behind the MAF sensor..
