the perfect partnership has been formed to take the C5 to a
performance level that has thoroughbred supercars running
scared. Drawing on 30 years of turbocharging, supercharging,
intercooling and engine management system design and
production knowledge, APS has created the ultimate High
Output System for the Corvette's LS1 engine.
Drawing on the man-years of APS engineering and testing
efforts for the leading APS C6 and GTO Intercooled Twin
Turbo Systems, APS raised the bar further still with the C5
APS Twin Intercooled Twin Turbo System.
A
straight forward bolt on totally engineered system that
utilizes the latest in liquid cooled turbocharger technology
and with a pair of huge bar and plate intercoolers, APS
delivers a system that results in outrageous
power
and torque right across the entire RPM range.
Huge external wastegates deliver enhanced boost pressure
stability under extremely high boost pressure conditions in
addition to a great degree of boost pressure flexibility.
For example, with a simple change of the wastegate spring
specification, a variety of boost pressures can be set -
from 5 psi all the way through to over 20 psi.
With insane horsepower and monster torque, the APS
Intercooled Twin Turbo High Output System performs like a
strong 9L Big Block and raises the C5 performance enthusiast
exclusively into the supercar club!

Best of all, the APS enhanced Corvette delivers
uncompromised driveability. Crisp throttle response, tidal
waves of torque, silky smooth highway cruising and excellent
fuel economy all add up to an outstanding daily driver - and
at your whim, mash the pedal and unleash the beast within.
Another stand-out feature of the APS intercooler system is
that the stock air conditioning system is retained and
unencombered. By specifying
two
large bar and plate intercoolers at each corner of the front
of the car, generous air-flow is maintained into and through
the stock air conditioning and engine cooling radiators - in
addition to a high volume of fresh air flow through each
intercooler (requires the installation of Z06 fog lamp
opening mesh inserts). This ensures the best possible air
flow through the engine radiator, air conditioning condensor
and intercoolers - hence the best possible cooling from
the stock radiator components.
High
volume / high precision tooling ensures that the
highest quality components possible are created
for the APS intercooled Twin Turbo System.
Precise NC machined jigs and fixtures are used
to locate components with high accuracy in
3-dimensions during construction.
The result is a straight forward bolt-on totally
engineered system that fits first time - every
time.
With APS production components of equal to or
higher than factory quality and specification,

For vehicles that are required to run catalytic
converters, high flow cats can be installed into the
twin 3" stainless steel exhaust pipes supplied with
the APS twin turbo system as shown above. Note: cats
not supplied.

Note: The APS Intercooled Twin Turbo system
can be tuned to deliver very high power output when
combined with large displacement built engines.
Under heavy duty operating conditions such as
circuit racing, high ambient temperatures or any
sustained high engine loads, it is recommended that
the engine cooling system is upgraded and full flow
engine oil cooling be installed. |

Automatic Transmission:
In order to accomodate the stock auto trans, boost
pressure will require attention to limit the amount
of power and torque through the trans. Please
discuss this with your APS dealer prior to
commencing installation.
